I have a Radio Shack model DX-392 Shortwave Portable Radio that I used to listen to the BBC Newshour. Newshour became a very popular distraction 4 times a day. When the BBC cutback to only 3 and then 2 broadcasts, it was still very popular.

For over 15 years that Shortwave Portable in my office was tuned to the BBC nearly 24 hours per day. We really looked forward to the best radio plays ever produced and struggled mightly to be in the office when the next episode of a serialized play would be presented.
